The Navi Mumbai Metro is a rapid transit system serving the Navi Mumbai region in Maharashtra, India. Planned and implemented by the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO), the project aims to ease traffic congestion, reduce commute times, and support the city growing population. The network is expected to cover multiple lines, but as of now, Line 1 is the most developed, spanning 11.1 kilometers and connecting Belapur, Kharghar, and Pendhar. The metro features modern amenities, automated ticketing, and a mix of elevated stations. After several delays, the metro commenced partial operations, with more expansions planned in the future.
